The short answer is: No.  Do you ask what kind of tools your car mechanic uses?  No.  If you like the images that the photographer presents in his samples, there is no reason to worry about what he used to produce them.  He used the cameras and lenses that allowed him to produce that work.  Another photographer might not be able to produce that work with the same system.  He may need a different camera model or a different manufacturer. 

The only thing that matters to you is the final product.
